“Leiper’s Fork is the heart of a living cultural landscape — the place where the beat of commerce, community life, music, faith and education keeps the community alive and vibrant.”
— Carroll Van West, Tennessee State Historian

Priorities
The Leiper’s Fork Foundation’s priorities align with our mission. The Foundation’s track record includes:
Arts & Music
Establishing the Americana Music Triangle, a multi-state initiative to curate the history of Southern contributions to American music.
Saving Nashville’s RCA Studio A, where countless influential artists created some of the world’s most important albums and songs.
Creating Kids On Stage, a groundbreaking program to support music education in Williamson County public schools.
Community & Conservation
Launching Nashville’s Big Backyard to promote economic opportunity in rural communities.
Securing rural acreage and farmland for inclusion and protection in the Land Trust for Tennessee.
Historic Preservation
Protecting the Leiper’s Fork Historic District by facilitating the acquisition and adaptive reuse of properties including an art gallery, live music venue, and country store.
Helping to save the Franklin Theatre, a 1930s Art Deco-inspired movie house in the heart of downtown Franklin’s historic Main Street.
The Foundation’s work is guided by our Board of Directors. Unfortunately, we cannot accept unsolicited grant proposals.
